a theatrical concert of new works for flute and percussion played without pause, featuring flutist Timothy Munro formerly of the Grammy-Award winning ensemble eighth blackbird and HOWL's percussionists (a.k.a. Sandbox Percussion). Program includes they might be giants by Amy Beth Kirsten (World Premiere), An Idyll for the Misbegotten by George Crumb, selections from Sciarrino's intensely beautiful L'opera for solo flute, lend/lease by David Lang, Folhagens by Leonardo Gorosito, and A Message from the Emperor by Martin Bresnick.
